Constantly being surrounded by ignorance and stupidity is something that I am very familiar with. Everyday, I have to wake up in a society that has no moral responsiblity what so ever. These type of people aren't just children or just adults; it consists of everyone; adults and children alike. They act as if they have nothing good to live for; thus, disrupting our communities and neighborhoods. So far there is nothing UTOPIAN about our society due to the ignorance that lies deep in the hearts of those who live in it. I agree with Dr. King's words when he stated that "There is nothing in the world more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity. You have a moral responsibility to be intelligent." You have to show people that you can be one of the leaders in our society, you have to prove that ignorance and stupidity are no match for intelligence, and you have to display the importance of moral responsibility.
In my opinion, to live in today's sociteies, you have to make yourself socially acceptable. This means that you have to dress a certain way, you have to act a certain way, and you have to talk a certain way. This is when a person has to step up and become there own person. Of course there will be complications because not everybody believes in being a leader. But, you have to do you and achieve something higher than the norms.
Ignorance and stupidity are no match for intellegence. You can get far in life if you display your intellegence. People today feel that if you are anywhere close to intellegent then you are a lame or a loser. What they don't realize is that being intellegent can get you out of the ignorance that is spreading through our streets. This is all a part of being a leader and not a follower.
Having moral resposibility is the most critical part of life. If you do not have any morals, you will not succeed. You have to want to achieve, you have to want to strive, and you have to want to be something in life. Now, that is not saying that it is not hard, that is just saying that you have to work hard and learn from the obstacles that you may have to face. Once you have surpassed those tribulations, it is a guarantee that you will be more than impressed by what you can do and what you have accomplished.
Finally, living in society today is hard. You have to face certain things from people if you decide to step up and be a leader. But, that is okay because you will be the one setting an example for everyone else.

I can honestly say that i agree with the blog. The reason i agree is because we as an african american race have the potential to be so much. But instead we kill that with ignorance. Also so many great black leaders did so much for us to have the freedom that we have today. It seems like a mocery to them Martin Luther king literally died for us to have equal freedom and possilbly more.

Martin Luther King Jr. was a very gifted man that spoke what he believed in. He spoke of none segregation, equal rights for all kind and none violence. He once said, and I quote, “There is nothing in the world more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity. You have a moral responsibility to be intelligent.” Is he really speaking about man kind? I really agree with him on that quote for more ways then one. He loved us all as brothers and sisters, not really caring about the race of them.
Therefore, he believe that segregation should have not even been because in his beliefs. There were segregated fountains, bathrooms, movies, restaurants and more. He (i will finish the rest when i get home)

I agree with this topic because you have to look at what sincere ignorance, conscientious stupidity and mortal responsibility to understand what Dr. King is saying.
Sincere ignorance means the whole condition of being uninformed or uneducated, lacking knowledge or information. In other words that you are dumb and don’t know anything or you do but try to butt in on things that is not concerning yourself. In Dr. King words he refers to this because there is nothing more then being uninformed or uneducated.
Conscientious stupidity means controlled by or done according to the inner sense of what is right or wrong in one's conduct or motives quality, or fact of lacking ordinary quickness and keenness of mind. In other words you make yourself dumb by doing bad things or ignoring your inner sense. Dr. King wants you to believe in yourself and when times are bad listen to your inner sense because it will do you good.
Mortal responsibility means of or pertaining to human beings as subject to state or fact of being Liable to be required to give account, as of one's actions or of the discharge of a duty or trust. In other words, you must have that much love in yourself to trust yourself. Dr. King would include this in his statement because he wanted you to love yourself in order to maintain respect.
So through the given definitions you yourself must make the decision but I do agree because you must respect yourself in order to be intelligent.

I think that ignorance is a dangerous thing.It limits your ability to go further in life. It makes you look like your stupid and that your not intelligent. You have a option to be intelligant and to be responsible. It depends on the type of attitude you have, positive or negative.
Responsibility is something that anybody could give, its not hard to de resposible. But the only way you could be trusted with responsibility is if you show tha you ar able yo handle it. Being respectful is apart of responsibility. If you don't give respect you will not recieve it.
It all depends on how you were raised and the vaules that was tought to you. When you act as if your ignorant it reflects on your parents. I tells everyone about how well you was raised. Some children or teenagers or human beings act out to get attention from there pairs.

I belive sincere ignorance is something that many youth find normal.They don't see it as something wrong.Stupidity is also something they see as just being normal.Their excuse for this is that "that's just how youth is".
Some belive that you shouldn't want to be intelligent because it's not as some say "cool".There needs to be more people who model themselves after Dr.Martin Luther King.
There are youth who do not find being inteligent abnormal. Some do stand up and show that they don't have to follow the incrowd.Being ignorant is not funny because it only makes you look bad,some believe that it makes them look good.
Youth as a whole need to realize that they can be intelligent no matter what other people may think of them and understand that ignorance is not cute.

Ignorance is is the condition of being uninformed or uneducated, lacking knowledge or information. It may also refer to rude ness. if u dont listen and your rude then you wont no wats goin on so i do agree with martin luther king. So regarding back to the comedian things comedians probaly are not ignorant either there just rude and america pays money to see ignorance so in a way it can get u buy in life but you better be funny!

I agree with what amber said because everyone is surrounded by ignorance and stupidity. I strongly believe that what Dr. Martin Luther King said is true also because people are going to be who they are with the low amount of respect that they have for others. I feel as though that each day that go by in our society that there is no moral responsibility. In addition, you have to be a leader and show people that ignorance and stupidity cannot be compare to intelligence.
I figure people that has no intelligence will not get nowhere in life. Those are the ones who had nobody to rely on while growing up to become the person they are today. Moreover, these aren't just kids that has no moral responsibility grown people too. In fact, almost every human on our earth has their own responsibility.
In other words, many people have something that they each were born to be responsible for meaning that if its for a older relative to take care of their younger brother or sister. So to me I think that moral responsibility take a big part in people lives. Besides that ignorance and stupidity comes from people that have no manners and/or respect for others.

Paragraph 1-I think i would have to say that i do agree with this Quote because the African American race in my opinion is the best race. We are very intelligent people but we seem to make stupid mistakes. I think we can do alot better then what we are doing now. We are quick to start viloence and things like that but we never would sit and think about our consequences of our actions. We have alot of African American History that we as African Americans dont even know, and thats not good.
Paragraph 2-I think that in our society today we tend to think that worrying about urself and staying intelligent is a bad thing.I feel as though if your an itelligent person and you want to be successful in life that you have to be very cautious about other peopole.I feel that way because when people see that your making it in life and your doing what your suppose to do, then they tend to make things worst.I think we all need to stick togeather as one and help one another because thats where the respect and ignorance comes from.

Paragraph 5-I think being an African American is hard and we seem to just give up so quick,but thats some of things that we are going to have to go through. You just have to deal with it and keep going farther to continue and to strive farther so that one day we can say that Martin Luther King have taught us alot.
